A great fictional story that has real life happenings now. I was up late nights reading and had trouble putting it down. Iggy is a very interesting character and a with unique intelligence. I love to read and don’t write many reviews but this book was so good I had to write one.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat as the personalities of each character unfolded. It sparked my curiosity and imagination. An amazing story that brings you down a path of infinite twists and turns. A must read!

I have known Gerald (Gary) for quite a few years. In that time, I never realized the depth of his intelligence. I’ll get one criticism out of the way, because it is minor considering the whole picture, Gerald is in need of a professional editor. Outside of some grammar and punctuation mistakes, the book is phenomenal. The reader becomes immersed in a world we suspect exists behind the scenes, bht are now shown how it operates, and why. The characters are brought to life in grand fashion. Anyone who reads this book will wish with all their heart that “Iggy” would step up and save our world. Make no mistake though, the world, as portrayed in this book, will ring genuine and frightening. It will remind that we, and only we, as the citizens of that world, can save it. The scary thing is, “Iggy” and his actions, are the product of a genius imagination. The rest I’m afraid, is all too real. Read this book!

As I began reading the unbelievable story unfolding in Gerald Ciccarone’s Millennium’s Gate: The Shadow of Giants, I wasn’t convinced this book could hold my interest. Lo and behold, as I continued my reading journey, the protagonist, Iggy Marcus, kidnapped my mind and held my imagination captive. As I delved into the meat of the saga, my curiosity was tickled: How could this happen? Where is Iggy taking his knowledge and desires to achieve the seemingly impossible? Caution! Make sure you carve out dedicated time to read this intriguing masterpiece of the written word…your appetite to keep reading will be endless.

I was captivated by the well thought out development and parallels to today world events. The author demonstrates a high level of imagination and intelligence, with explanations that were presented in a way that was easily understood and appreciated. I always thought it was a cliché when someone said they could not put a book down, until now. I looked forward to reading this book every moment I could find. The second reading was even better than the first.

The audience is taken on an ever changing emotional and informational roller coaster ride, as the star character along with his family and close friends confront the destiny of humanity. The science fiction of new technology is fun, captivating and tightly intertwined in a family full of love, emotion, humor, respect, and plenty of suspense filled adventure and surprises. Through many of the characters, but mostly the star character, the writer present perspectives of human nature, how society and government is manipulated and mostly the learning’s of morality. Many readers will find the lessons, perspectives and ideas presented in the book will be a refreshing inspiration as to where they would like to see the real world follow along, while other readers may find these same concepts to be pure fiction, nonsensical and down right insulting, and the author will clearly make the reader know which camp they reside in! There are many profound lessons, and concepts to be taken from this novel that will give the reader plenty to think about(and they should) once they finally put the book down. I think anyone from high school to retirement will find this book entrancing and educational and in a few areas it may even leave you wondering whether something is fact or fiction. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of books 2 and 3!

This is an extraordinary work of literature from a previously unknown author.
The story line is immediately engaging. The action is riveting. The character development is intriguing.
Can’t say enough good things about this book.
Now reading the second in the trilogy.
Looking forward to the third when published.

“Isn’t it just so great when you find one of those books that completely drags you in, makes you fall in love with the characters, and demands that you sit on the edge of your seat for every intense, nail-biting moment of it? This is one of those books for me. And I must issue a serious content warning: this book explores some very divisive ideas. Proceed with caution (or not at all) if you are particularly sensitive to matters concerning politics and religion. This book is like the dystopian Lord of the Rings, with its richly developed culture and economics. The world-building is so fully fleshed out and spine-tinglingly terrifying I got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations AND be nothing at all like I expected. I can’t imagine how challenging it would be to tackle the concepts and forewarning involved in writing a novel as telling as this in our current economical/political climate. With an unapologetically realistic delivery packed with emotion, Shadows of Giants is a crucially important portrayal of the current political economic landscape and gives hope for the future with nuggets of gold advice peppered throughout for us to find and apply to our daily lives. I have no doubt that this book will be met with resistance by some (possibly many) and slapped with a “controversial” label, but if you’ve ever wondered what our futures holds if we keep moving down this highway to mediocrity and less as a society, then I feel like this is an unflinchingly honest place to start.”
